Growing up with my sister Haley was interesting and fun, she lived at home with me till I was 5, now I am 15 and she is almost 25! I do have to say it was rough growing up but still fun.
As some of you know my sister has special needs. I like saying "special needs" especially the "special" part cause even though she's not normal and cant do most things we can do, she's still special to my parents and I.
Something my mom mentioned one time is that she doesn't automatically tell you what she thinks about you or talks to you to get to know you to see your heart towards her but she feels your heart towards her. She knows if you don't like her or if you do like her.
My point is no matter what our strong points are, or what our weak points are, we still have a purpose on this earth whether its to change someone's life or someone change your own life.
Haley has a way of knowing people's heart and being a joy to them, that's how she is special in His way but not the one and only thing she is special at.:)
My sister has changed my life tremendously, cause if I hadn't ever encountered "special needs" I wouldn't of had no clue what to do or what to think.
Because it is hard having a sister with "special needs" I have found myself recently wanting, longing, and striving for someone like a sister because I need someone to communicate to because that's something my sister can't do. Of course I know I wont get a real sister that way but at least its way closer to it. I don't ever want to replace my sister because she is my sister, unlike some leader from my youth group but she is blood relation to me and I love her. She's in my life for a reason and a purpose and I know that God has much better plans for the both of us, better than what we can imagine.
Exodus 9:16
"But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
We are all here to work some kind of gift God has given us to allow us to be an example to those who don't know Him,
A person that's living their life with no hope might look at a missionary that has so much hope in life and say "I want what they have...hope!"
A person Lost might find Jesus with the help of a missionary and this person might cry out " I found You Lord" His reply would be "I never have left you"
A person trying to find Love in the wrong places might find it in the Father's arms.
A person looking for Faith to step out of the boat might hear Jesus call " trust me"
A person looking for peace at home might find it in a closet with just him and Jesus.

The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
