Life is good at YWAM

7/13/13
This morning I got up, got ready, and packed. Today a few schools (not all) are going to eagle rock till Thursday!
This means mountains, no phone service and hiking! The base here is really neat! It has a spectacular view of the mountains. Showers of rain poured over us shortly after arriving. It was a great way to start the weekend!

Rainy deck (^)
7/14/13
This morning I watched the service online from my home church trinity fellowship! Thank you lord for wifi and a modern church.
This afternoon from 1:30-5:45 I hiked eagle rock mountain. It was very tough but a great reward doing so at the time. Last night God told me i would be climbing a mountain, not knowing what that meant i agreed. Before a group left to go, my YWAM sister Gracie pulled me aside and told me she thought i needed to go and so i agreed. On the way up, the "flesh" in me kept piercing hurtful words to get me to turn around and go back, but God told me I wasn't done yet! As I kept going, Gracie then appeared at my side assuring me that I could go my pace and stop when I needed to. It was a blast. When we finally got to what I thought was "the top", I tested my trust and had two of our guy leaders (larse and Steph) help me climb a really tall rock! Once I was up, I realized I was clinging to Larse, Until I got direction to move otherwise.lol
When I got up the rock I felt really accomplished! Until I realized we weren't there just yet. So down I went, almost like repelling.
So we went a little farther and then stopped but a few of us decided to just go ahead and go down. On the way down God told me "Katie, sometimes it's going to be tough, sometimes you will go down  hill and it will be fun. Other times your going to have to trust the people I surround you with. Sometimes you will have to get really close to me, so I can direct you with every little detail. Sometimes it's going to be just me and you and your going to have to trust me. Sometimes I am going to tell you to stop and enjoy the view. Other times I am going to go great lengths in showing you just how strong you really are. I love you and I am with you always." As He was telling me this I was cutting thru paths, going straight down a mountain. I was told that to dig my heals into the mountain and hold my arms out. God surprised me by saying "hey, what are you doing with your arms stretched out that way....my hands are here" before long I saw my hands find His and I was breezing down the mountain. Sometimes I found myself losing sight but God assured me by not ever letting me fall, that he was there with me. When I got to the base dinner was ready and so I ate, took my test for class, showered and crashed.lol

7/15/13
My first 2 tests are due this morning as well as my journal report. Worship was a little different. Though I know worship is not always music, this was even cooler. As The Lord directed each of us we got up, wrote the scripture reference on the whiteboard and then read aloud the scripture God lead us to. Reading it aloud 3 times slowly to let it sink in.
It was really great!:)
This week Mark Davies is speaking. Today was mostly let's get to know each other but I expect tomorrow to be deep. Class got out early so i ventured off to the prayer garden! It's so cute.

I stayed there for prolly almost two hours.
After dinner I cuddled up on the couch with one of my roommates by the fire.  It was great. We just read our books and marveled on our lives.

Community living is different! I am learning to be more vulnerable as we go. I find myself trying to hide in my cave which is sometimes acceptable but not always. God usually helps me out by dragging me out by my feet!

The path to the prayer chapel (^)

The cutest little prayer chapel I have ever seen (^).
7/16/13
My quiet times are always the best part of the day! And from there they continue thru the day! Mark Davie spoke on relationships today! I thought it was a little fuddy duddy at first until he backed it up with scripture! Then it literally hit me, that truth was behind that with not just him but anyone. Speaking on best friends with the opposite sex and how dangerous it is to do that. Because it says something great about you that might attract the other when you only just want to be friends. Lets just say it won't last long. It's rare if it does. And if it does it more than likely won't end well.
I had clean up after lunch and dinner today, so my afternoon was free.
I walked up to the prayer garden. I sat down and God told me "Daughter
Of the feared beloved
You are like a butterfly dancing in a field of flowers." And sure enough, just before me was a bright yellow butterfly fluttering through the wild flowers that surround the garden.
It has been a blessing to work in the kitchen because I only have to do this two days this week! My body appreciates this, due to climbing a mountain I'm still very sore! I'm so glad I did it though. We all ended the day with a bonfire outside. I really do love this group! I can't brag enough about them.

7/17/13
Today is our last full day in Eagle Rock!
This morning we did class outside. Pretty interesting if you ask me.
I have been voice recording the lectures so I don't miss a thing and can focus more on listening and relating. My phone decided it was too hot though and turned off till it cooled down. Honestly I can't blame it! It got hot out there. So during break I moved to shade. Outreach prep today went a little like making paper dolls that the scraps turned into crowns. Plus we played two truth's and a lie as well as a few other games that were really fun to play as a family! I love each and everyone of these people. Their isn't one I love more or less, they are all equal! Snacks are always involved, which consisted of a little sugar free chocolate. This also rooted on the alti-toot's (to go along with altitude) for everyone (oh dear!😳). This is a little bit of community living in a nut shell for you. It does get deeper and much more personal as I go each day but, I'm totally fine with that.
We ended the day with s'mores by the fire outside, surrounded by mountains and just a big YWAM family gathering. I got the blessing of helping Jessa (YWAM staff) set up! She is awesome!:)
S'mores was yummy!
Honestly hadn't had that much sugar at once in a long time. I was pretty hysterical later. These are the moments I don't stop talking and I always find something to laugh at.

7/18/13
Last day in Eagle rock. This is bitter sweet for me. I love it here yet I want to go Back home (the base down the mountain). Got to hear mark one more time before he left.
It's like vacation here! I'm going to miss this place.
I wasn't too happy this morning due to the fact that we did bible study instead of quiet time! This will be a normal Thursday deal, so I think in order to be in a good mood on those days, I am going to get up earlier for quiet time!
My last clean up duty was fun, but the dishwasher decided to stop working....which we later found out it just needed to be filled. Then we went home! I unpacked, made a Walmart run and talked on the phone for an hour with my lovely parents.
I'm excited to say they will be coming for my birthday! Everybody here is excited to meet the famous Paisley.:)
I'm really excited for them to meet the family here at YWAM.
I know paisley will love it since they always have pb&j available at every meal on top of the normal meal they provide.

Last day at Eagle rock, rocking the stripes and a little sad/happy we are leaving (^)

7/19/13
Fridays are normally relaxing. I like it this way! Quiet time was very relaxing and so needed. I always take this time to take care of my heart by journaling everything but I guess I left a few things out. I payed that price during worship! I was a mess. Many of my prayers go out to the family and friends back home.
For intercession we all broke out in groups and walked around the neighborhood near base, praying for the family's living there or anything God brought to our attention. In my group, one of the girls toes hurt so I bent down touched her toe and prayed for it to be healed in Jesus name. When I finished praying she looked at me shocked and excitedly announced that her toe doesn't hurt anymore.
On a side note:
My constant prayer lately that really has brought change to everything I walk into whether its from a far or up close. I always thank God for that person first, then I ask that the devil not be aloud to come near this person and a blanket of healing/peace to be placed over this person. I have seen immediate change for several weeks praying this prayer. It's really neat.

A little while later, God told the 4 of us to pray over the playground and so we sat down and started to pray. When we got there, their were only a few kids, as we prayed, more kids came running onto the playground. As we sat there watching, we prayed over a little girl (from a distance) who we felt had been told lie's about her in her life. Praying against those lies and for help over the person expressing that to her. Later a little girl and a little boy began to fight over a play thing, which ended in her kicking the little boy in the face. As we watched, the little boy fell to the ground and started to cry, the little girl then stood up and looked down. She started to walk towards a teacher muttering "now, I'm in trouble." She went up to her teacher to tell her what she did. We all knew though that she didn't really tell her what had happened. The little girl went over to a tree near by and sat down. We watched for a moment and saw that she was talking and crying. Faith church is near by and so we thought this group was from there and it was. This little girl was talking to God. Mary, one of the girls in my group felt the calling to go and talk to her. So she asked a teacher who was happy to hear this and let her. She talked to this little girl who expressed that she loves Jesus and wants to be just like Him but can't figure out why she can't. When Mary had asked to pray over her, this little girl said "yes, I want you to pray that I won't be so mean". Breaks my heart! As I watched this from a distance, I wanted to cry!
This girl wasn't the only one changed today but all of us as well. I can't speak for the rest of the group but I definitely know I was changed watching.
I want to challenge you to pray for your community, families and anything God places on your heart! It really makes a difference.

7/20/13
Today I woke up at 5:40 to get ready for service Saturday! We left at 6:30 after packing our lunches. We arrived at Salvation Army in Estes Park where they had a music camp for kids. After we are breakfast, we were put to work. Tabea and I were placed at an entrance to keep people from going up the road to park, cause there wasn't any parking at that entrance. So we were directing traffics to the next entrance. We had fun walking around like we owned the entrance singing kid songs like "Jesus love me" and "Jesus loves the little children". I don't know why these songs came to mind but they did. Afterwards we pulled out dead tree's in area's that really needed it, due to the fire cautions, dead tree's can make this problem spread. It was fun! We also paired up and made beds. My mom did a great job raising me to be tidy! I am thankful for this in times like this because the guy I was paired with confessed he wasn't good at it, so I took the mom role in a way to help make things look good. Thanks mom!:)
When we got back to base I had half a book to read in order to get it done by Monday. I have a report due Monday as well.
That was also the time I got a lovely call from my amazing parents. I now have to choose between having them come up for my birthday or me and a few other coming down to Amarillo.
Decisions decisions!  In between I got my hair cut! I needed it bad! I have been contemplating this thought for a week. It worked out to where a friend needed to go to target and there was a great clips next door to it and it was also in my price range.

I finished my book!:) Woot! Woot!

My Journey

7/8/13
I never knew I was coming to Denver Colorado to get healed. I worked hard before I left to make sure I was at least some what straightened out. Some people may not ever understand how beneficial that was for me and this new season but it was. Now I come here, broken to the fact that God wants to help thru some more stuff that I had no clue was broken. I think God left that part out so that it wouldn't hinder my decision in coming. I don't know if that means I wouldn't have come but God knows and that's all that matters. All that matters is I am here and I am so glad God did what He could to bring me here. I don't need people to understand why I am here or what I will work thru while I'm here. And honestly God is still working me thru some hurt pockets I have from just the journey coming here.
That stuff is going to end up making me stronger for the people and the situations I will encounter healing others.
It's really when I think I'm strong enough to walk thru anything is when God comes to tell me I am not ready yet. Oh, this should be good!
Today I finished my creative presentation! I am speaking on adoption. Using the music video by third day called Children of God. It's going to push my time a bit but I have it where I can stop it and talk at certain times. I'm excited.

7/9/13
I'm sore from pulling weeds in the garden yesterday during work duty. But I'm not complaining. I love it!
I presented my creative presentation today. When I went in to set up I got a little frazzled with my time and how I would go over. My grade would drop if I chose to do so. Which I didn't. I ended up going over by 30 seconds but its a pass or fail kind of project. So I passed.
I spoke on Adoption, tying in my testimony and the adoption of my little sister. I shared the music video by third day called children of God. When I finished, most were close to tears. I aimed to hit an emotion just because its what triggers memory and a way to relate, so I did awesome.
I also made an A on my book report on "Is that really You, God? By Loren Cunningham and we also have a journal check and so I passed that too.
I'm excited!
After dinner I got to hangout at bliss (a frozen yogurt place) with Brittany. She is on staff here at YWAM but wants to get to know me.:) I love it!
This place feels more like home everyday.

7/10/13
This morning I was hit by a train of sorrows that have lingered over me for a long time. But God assured me to just give it to Him when I feel down about it. He makes me feel complete.
Worship was really good!
Intercession today was deep. We are praying for Libya in South Africa.
Class went well! Chris failla is speaking this week. He is really relaxed and fun. He has no destination. We are his GPS. I love that about him. Especially after Jeff Pratt. He was deep. Today Chris went deeper than I was prepared for. Thankful though that my group leader was able to explain it again so I could soak it in a little better...it was coming in sideways.
I ended my day by going to go see "After earth" with a group of YWAM siblings! It was so good. I love this family!
I am constantly being reminded by God that I'm not who I say that I am but what He says I am. It's mind blowing. I don't know exactly how to understand it or try to focus on it enough to rest upon it.

7/11/13
Waking up sore and tired from the day before seems like normal routine now. Quiet time is always so refreshing in the mornings.
Class was so packed with much needed information I will always hold dear to my heart. Chris Vailla is a talented speaker.

7/12/13
Busy yet a very relaxing day today. Worship and intercession, includes prayer over the teams on outreach.
Travel meetings and fun stuff ahead.
We made balloon animals in class which ended with loud bangs to pop them. It was very brutal to the ears but fun stuff. We learned how to do a bunch of cool craft stuff for outreach when we are with kids! I'm excited!
It was a very rainy day here in Arvada Colorado! I love it!
After dinner was kingdom night but instead of going to that a group of us took our laundry to the laundry Matt. We leave tomorrow for Eagle rock and won't be back till Thursday after dinner. It should be fun!
Ill update you all when I get back!:)

Choices

7/3/13
Today I am exhausted! I love everything going on here, but I am so tired. Today Is my last day of class before I am off for 4 days. I'm not exactly sure what all my plans are for 4th of July but I have a feeling it will be busy.
Today we found out where we are going in Europe. I'm so excited! We will be going to England. We have 14 flights over a period of 12 weeks. Ah!!!!! I'm so excited! Everything is set in stone. God is so good! We get to stay as a group thru all 14 flights. If that's not a miracle, I don't know what is. Thank you Lord!:)
As I walked to my work duties today...late, from class going over+travel meeting and changing into work clothes. I was just wanting a nap. But as I sat down with the grounds crew, they told me we would just be hanging out. Praise The Lord! I know it won't always be like that and I will just have to push thru all the other times but I couldn't believe it. Praise The Lord. Instead we told a little of our testimonies to our leaders over grounds! They wanted to know us instead of just put us to work. This surprised me. I love grounds. We are privileged. After we told testimonies, we all got the chance to look at the property and see what all we will be working on. I am so blessed to be apart of it. I can't wait till we get things going. I will keep you all updated.

7/4/13
I got up an hour before I was supposed to :-/. This doesn't make me Sally sunshine but, it also doesn't surprise me very much. Happy 4th of July!:) planning on reading a little today and getting some homework done. My book and book report is due Monday, plus I have a creative presentation on Tuesday. This should be interesting. I have no idea what I will do but I pray God will give me idea's. a creative presentation is 3-5 min long and no longer than. We have two ways of doing it and creativity is a necessity to drag into it. I walked to Starbucks with the group, read my book for a few hours an then we walked over to get chipotle but it was closed. So we had Jimmy John's instead. I group hopped after lunch as Jodi an Kelsey, two more YWAM sisters walked in to eat. I just sat and talked with them. Everyone loves me. This is something I am having to get used to. We took a Walmart trip in Ruthie. I needed to get a fruit tray for the party at Ruth's (my ATW leader's home). When we got back we all got in red, white and blue. Gracie (my YWAM sister/roommate) did my messy bun and I wrapped my new zebra head band around my head. I love it.

I'm going to have to, for outreach phase. My hair is just going to do whatever during that time. So now is the best time to get used to it. I put make up on and we all loaded up and left. The party was fun. We played signs again. Totes fun. We watched fireworks at nine till the mosquito's attacked us. That ended it. They won....hands down. But come to find out, right above the sand volleyball court on base was a spectacular view of the works. I watched as I headed to bed.

7/5/13
Last night I made a fort on my bed. Using my huge purple blanket, I tucked some of it under the bunk above me and draped it down like a curtain. I slept in till 9! Big difference there. Felt so good. I decided it was laundry day beings that, my bed smelt horrible and my clothes bag was exploding. I decided it was a "careless....jeans and t-shirt type day". Not realizing I didn't take care of my blonde strands. I left base with my laundry, arrived at the laundry Matt....forgot my quarters. So back to the base I went. Arrived at the laundry Matt with my quarters, loaded my darks and started the load when I realized I had no detergent. So back to the base AGAIN. Arriving back at the laundry Matt I finally had everything I needed to get the job done. I hope this laundry fit thing doesn't keep happening....otherwise we are not going to get along well. I should be a pro by the end of 5 months. End of story!!!
For the rest of the day I read my book. Meghan and I brought my famous purple blanket outside and layed out. We read our books for about an hour....with of course many conversation and distractions in between. At 3:30 Meghan and I had dinner prep. We made brown rice, white rice, steamed veggies and teriyaki Chicken. Yummy! It was amazing!:)

We left for Despicable me2 only to arrive and they were sold out. But of course Colorado has many different malls/theatre's so we left for the other one. We did accidentally leave one person (thank The Lord it was not me....only my luck) behind but that was straightened out nicely. The movie was fantastic. I love the minions. On the way home I got shot gun, therefore I got to be navigator!:) That was fun!:) had one of those "had to be there moments" that only my YWAM siblings will laugh the hardest at.

6/6/13
Last night I thought one of the girls was having a weird dream involving the wall and their foot, later I thought someone was breaking in and I could only think about my laptop charging under my bed, come to find out the wind was blowing so hard the bathroom door was getting caught and then slammed as well as the blinds being tossed side to side. Earphones and music helped from 4am on. Today I read the last 6 chapters of "Is That Really You, GOD? By Loren Cunningham. It's a must read for anyone who would like to hear about missions/YWAM. So good! It's a must read period.
I enjoyed my breaks inbetween my reading, to take girls to the laundry Matt and back (like I hadn't been there and back enough....lol but what a blessing too).
I could have chosen to get frustrated today but my will of wanting this whole experience to be good got in the way. I am glad. I didn't want to be frustrated. My YWAM family is just too precious to me right now. God did great when He chose me to be here, at this time and with these people. It rained a sweet smelling and beautiful rain today! I love it!  The day ended with capture the flag involving the whole base. Nobody won. It was too fun!

7/7/13

I woke up in a crabby mood today. Finding out that I had a horrible dream about someone in my past that affects my future. Looking past that, I was planning on going to Faith right by the base but come to find out nobody was going there at the time I was planning on going. So I went back to Vineyard with a group! Worked out great since a group of girls went in their own car and let me go with them after church to eat at California Pizza Kitchen. I had been wanting to hang out with this specific group so I'm very glad it just worked out that way. God knows how to soften my heart and let my plans fall into His hands.
Ultimate frisbee was fun to watch. It was all guys and mostly staff. Which was so much more interesting that the book report I desperately needed to get done. Don't worry, I got it done on time and emailed it to my leader. I also think my creative presentation is done. I asked if I could use one of my writings off of my blog and they said yes. I'm so excited! Now to just choose which one I will do. Lol
Tomorrow I have a full day and so I try to get most things done in the weekends. So most of today was spent relaxing, having fun with my YWAM siblings and talking to Jesus.  He seems to calm my frazzled heart. I never knew that so much prep before this would effect me even now, but it does...good, bad or maybe even ugly.

This picture above has been what God has been showing me lately! The fact that we all have a choice, a free will. We can say no or yes. Now the consequences of a no is stupid to say due to a missed blessing to serve His kingdom, a yes is your choice but a great pleasure will come of it in the end. Not that, that would be all you serve but for Jesus you walk in that knowing, you pleased Him therefore He wants you to be pleased. I love walking with Jesus cause, He always shows me something. So, What's your choice?

Opening doors

7/2/13
I think it's funny that I can stay up so late yet, still wake up at 6:30! I think I'll start taking advantage of that time. My quiet time is always so sweet! I forgot to show you all, this funny picture I took yesterday during quiet time.

Animals make me laugh. They just had passed thru the parking lot. And they always have a leader. I love it:)
Today I was tired...mentally. God loves that I'm so open to follow Him and do what it takes to get closer to Him and that really is, what it all narrows down to.
I have seen so much growth in my life since I have arrived here at YWAM.
I think if anyone was to ask themselves if missions is really for them and actually ask God. I honestly don't think He will tell you "no"! He desires for us all to serve Him. And believe it or not, we can serve Him doing anything. You could be working for an animal shelter...that's His creatures. You serve Him, by taking care of His creation. You could be a pre-school teacher....you are showing kids everyday the love Christ has for them, just by teaching them, loving them for them or answering their honest questions. Even if you don't have a job, just going into the supermarket and asking God to show you someone you can bless and obeying His voice is mission work. Missions is primarily based on Faith. It takes Faith to get there, whether it's thru getting money to get there or stepping out to speak into someone's life.
I got the job- grounds for my base job (to keep base lookin good).
I love it, they are literally doing ground work in front but, they had put the dirt from it in the back of a staffs truck, not realizing that it all weighed so much, you could go no where. The bottom dragged. So 4 of us,(including me) grabbed our shovels and started scooping the mountain high dirt mound. We had so much fun. We should finish that job tomorrow!:)
As usual Jeff Pratt was great, I also got the blessing of eating lunch with Him to. Sharing how I got to YWAM and what I think I will be doing after YWAM.
He is a powerful speaker.
Meghan my YWAM sister and I hung out the rest of the day. She is amazing. Always lifting me up and always encouraging.

Nature is always peering around the corner and God is always showing off. I love it:)
I so love updating this blog. It's a joy to share my experiences and what God is doing.
Thank you all for keeping up!:)

YWAM Life

6/30/13
Today is Sunday! The hardest part of this transition, is changing churches for me! Though I know that it doesn't matter what church you go to,  as long as your heart, soul and mind is aimed towards Jesus.
A group of us went to Mile High Vineyard in old town Colorado (still in Arvada). I have no complaints, it just was different. And it always will be. God showed me the morning I moved out, that nothing would ever be the same.
After church Logan my YWAM sister and I went to Starbucks where we ate our packed lunches and talked about life. We then went to check out the laundry matt close by the base and got ice cream from Dairy Queen. The rest of the day consisted of Dinner with everyone and Despicable me. Of course I'd rather hangout and talk so that's just what I did after watching part of despicable me.
This group is so much fun! I can't get over that. I'm loving it! I love having 6 roommates! I love the crazy busy bathroom in the morning while getting ready. I love the conversations we all have about anything. I love that we all look out for each other. I love that everyone cares for each other. I just love it.

7/1/13
Waking up this morning I was freezing! Colorado got down to 55 over night and into the morning. I even turned my little fan off. It was so nice! I love snuggling.
Today classes were intense.
Jeff Pratt is a powerful speaker. I don't know how many times I just wanted to cry. But I held it in. I know there will be times I will need to just let it go. God is healing me of stuff I thought I was already healed of, but I guess He just wants to make sure I'm really good!:) The thing I find most amazing is the fact that he knew our names instantly. I don't know Him at all and I have never seen him on base yet, he can walk up there as soon as class starts, start to speak and call us all by name. Totally prophetic, I think so.
His session "love-Crazy love". Hit like a train wreck. Speaking about passion, relationship with Jesus,  and unconditional love. Second session called "His many faces of Passion" spoke Mostly on the 5 kinds of relationships. Which are listed:
1.Lover and Bridegroom
2.Husband or wife
3.friend
4.Mother
5. father
"It's and ocean where there is no bottom"Jeff Pratt
And mixed with the brokenness that can come of these.
Brokenness is when I see my sin breaks the heart of God.
He used many illustrations and examples that were really good.

After class I had the rest of the day off which was a relief since I was a little overwhelmed from class!
I love afternoons like this! The cool air, sweet worship songs randomly playing into my mind and my sudden break out in song! It's funny. I will think I'm by myself in my room and start to sing or hum and someone will always pop out of no where and complement me of my voice. Im always surprised and shocked! But I think that's something God is healing me of. He is purposefully putting me in situations that will bring growth and bring me out of my comfort zone that eventually feels like my comfort zone quicker than I would ever think.
It's great! I feel free here. I don't feel like I have to put on something fake or avoid anyone I think doesn't like me. I always sit with someone different when we eat and I always get to know someone else on a much deeper level. That's my goal and I love that God just knows how to help me out with that.
I haven't had a moment of feeling alone, rejected or scared. I feel like I am in a place of just being "me" and that's how it is supposed to be. And the best part is everyone accepts "me". Not for something they want me to be. Just me!:)

Here's a song I think has been speaking into my life and in this season of my life. enjoy:)

Hearing God's voice

6/29/13

Today is Saturday and I could only sleep in until 7 even though I had until 8 or so until I needed to get up. Nothing is planned today and so I thought today would be a great day to knock out my book I need to read for class. I ended up reading about two and a half chapters of Loren Cunningham's book called " is that really you God?". It is so good! I could read it all day but my "no plans" kind of day, ended up being a "full day of plans" kind of day. Before I knew it, I was loading 6 of my YWAM sisters into my Honda CRV and heading to downtown Denver. We thought that we would just be going to be "girls just hanging out". Nope, God always has a better plan than what we could ever hope for. We all started out singing praise songs and playing the beautifully painted piano (it was real)  on 16th street, where the outdoor mall is at.
That turned into a circle of prayer which, turned into us sporadically blessing people as God lead us. When I got a chance to think, I asked God to show me who He wanted me to talk to. Before I knew it, He showed me a young lady (prolly in her 20's) sitting on a bench all alone. He told me "go tell her that she is not alone and that I am with her in her situation". I questioned Him for a little bit...I even came as far as walking away and just telling Him that she isn't it. But as I walked further away, my heart kept beating faster and faster like it was Him knocking on my heart to do what He has asked me to do. My YWAM sisters were talking about all of their experiences and was about to go find a bathroom. I told them I needed to go do something and that it was a God thing and for them to wait just a moment. I walked up to this lonely young lady sitting on a bench in the middle of 16th street and said "hey! I'm sorry to bother you, But God wanted me to tell you...your not alone and that He is with you wherever you go." When I had finished her facial expression went from "happy to see me" to "that was exactly what I needed to hear". Her face began to turn red as tears came into her eyes. She then asked me "how did you know?". I told her that God just had been speaking to me and wanted me to come over here and tell you that. I then asked for her name and asked to pray over her, which she didn't hesitate to answer yes to. As I began to pray over her, I felt as if a blanket of peace and joy came over the both of us. When I was done she asked me where I was from. I felt like an angel for a moment. But then told her I live in Arvada going to YWAM. What she told me what was going on in her life, was less than what was really going on and I could tell. I could tell she was feeling a little more relieved of my words, than what she herself could know and truly comprehend. She told me " you made my day". Afterwards I truly understood my dreams and visions in coming to YWAM and bringing people to Jesus. All the years I have waited for this, all the hopes and longings of wanting to help people that are broken and see their lives completely flip around. I knew from that moment on, I want more of that. I also know, this is just the beginning and God will only bring me more words to speak thru me to others hearts. I am excited!:)
Tonight we had a worship/soak setting. It was not scheduled! It just happened and boy does God know how to move into this place.
